Counseling classes - Mrs. P in the Classroom

Every month Mrs. P teaches a class in every room. In September we were Introduced to the counselor and classroom expectation were discussed using the Book "We Don't Eat our Classmates." In October we discussed the Difference between Rude, Mean, and Bullying behavior. In November and December, students will be completing a Career Interest Inventory.

Standard Based Report cards will be posted to the Parent Portal each quarter. If you do not have an account, please go to www.valleyviewsd.org and click on the link for the Parent Portal. Complete the registration. Your request will be approved within a week, at which time you will receive an email notification requiring you to activate your account. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see an email within a two week period. If you have multiple students, only one parent portal account is needed. You may access each of their report cards via a single account. Accounts in the portal are to be created and accessed by parents/guardians, not students. Kindergarten through fifth grade report cards are called standards based report cards. You will need to look for that when accessing K - 5 report cards.

Bi-weekly students have the opportunity to cash in their earned PBIS LiveSchool cash for rewards. One of those rewards is the opportunity to donate a $1.00 to a charity of their choice. We are Cougar Proud of our first quarter students who chose to do so. The following charities were chosen by the students:

St Jude's Hospital, Teamseas, Friends with Paws Rescue, Villalobos Pitbull Rescue, Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, St. Joseph's Center
